DNA (noun), YOU. The aspects that make you, YOU. The bonds, threads and building blocks of all the things that make you, YOU. The ladder of your life experiences that make you, YOU. The essence of YOU. Your core cell, or nucleus, of what makes you, YOU. The development and evolution of YOU.

proximity (noun), the distance towards, or, away from your chosen opportunities and possibilities. The measure of space between you and what you aim to gain through your intentions, actions and beliefs through a series of challenges and experiences.

In order to change your lifestyle you must unravel and restructure your habits to help manifest your vision of who you want to be, where you want to be and why you want to be this person. You change your thinking habits by focusing on your NEEDS. You become what you feel and think about, which are essential to your existence.

What are your hurdles?

Individuals needing to excel in life face continuous hurdles. Financial. Psychological. Physical. Cultural. Social. It could be that you are an adult and are considering taking that first step into learning to read and write. It could be that you are the first person in your family to consider starting a business. It could be that you are contemplating running away from an abusive relationship, but are terrified about the fallout from your family. It could be that you have a disfigurement which has turned you into an extreme introvert and this has rendered you excruciatingly shy in amongst others. The reasons are many, as they are long, as to why you need to excel in life. Plus, why the timing NOW is important to you. At this time and space in your life, you have come to the realisation that you will stand your ground to make things work for you and not be used any more at the whims of others.

In general, people that follow crowds blindly are the least to be confronted with life hurdles, for they take the path of least resistance. This path of least resistance has the ability to mesmerise you into a false sense of security, where you have given your power of decision making to others that WILL take advantage of you. The question is: How much are you willing to be taken advantage of? What is your threshold for being manipulated? When you fall into the hole with all the others that have been beguiled, how would you get out of this situation? Would you wait for those in the same hole as you to attempt to get out first? Or would you decide to make the move first ahead of others?

Keeping up with the Jones' is a prime example of a hidden hole waiting for you to fall in to. As the phrase refers to the comparison of you versus that of your peers (neighbours, work colleagues, family members, personalities) as a benchmark for taste, social cast system and the accumulation of material goods. Where you are doing the blind running around to attain a higher level of social status. So when you fail to "keep up with the Jones' " you place the distress of being perceived by your peers as demonstrating socio-economic or cultural inferiority.

Learning to read and write as an adult is an example of clearing a hurdle.

It does not matter how many years you spent in school. Or whether you went to school or not. A motivating vision is the common denominator of achievement for EVERYONE!!!

Examples of ordinary people who...

Abraham Lincoln left school at 12 years old to help his family farm. One of nine presidents who did not go to college, Lincoln attended various schools in rural Kentucky and Illinois for short periods of time. Lincoln claimed that of all his time schooling, the period did not amount to one year in total. He began to teach himself English Grammar at 23 years old. It is reported that he said that he always regretted not receiving a more formal education. He became President of the USA in spite of his lack of formal education. Lincoln was driven by his motivating vision. His vision was so profound that it instigated others to see and believe in his motivation for a new country.

John D. Rockefeller dropped out of high school two months before graduation. The need to work at a produce commission organisation for 50 cents a day was deemed more important than the desire to stay in school. He became the founder of Standard Oil and a renowned philanthropist,. At the time of his death, his personal wealth amounted to US$1.5 billion.

Sir Richard Branson stopped going to school at 16 years old and created his first company. Whilst he did experience bad business judgements and failures he learned from his mistakes and became a motivating success of his Virgin Group of companies. The Virgin Group has expanded from its origins as a record company to include an airliner, telecommunications, trains, a variety of entertainment and corporate services and products and most recently banking.

Lord Sugar left school at 16 years old to work as a salesman. This was the backdrop to his motivating vision to initiate a computer company called Amstrad (Alan M Sugar TRADing). Following on from this he became London's Tottenham Hotspur Football Club's Chairman. He fronted a British TV format of the USA reality television programme called The Apprentice and had been brought in by the UK Government to act as a UK Business Zsar.

You do not need to be famous and rich to have a motivating vision, you only need to be YOU!!!
